Hello,
Let me thank those who took time to attend and watch the Gladiator Final Showdown at the RHGC Battle Bunker.
We hope you all had a great time playing, watching, cheering, enjoying the camaraderie of good company of like minded people, not to mention drinking and eating. We consumed 10 cases of coke zero, food for 50 people from our caterer plus sandwiches for the afternoon power snack. The event ended early afternoon but people stayed until the wee hours of the following morning.
The main event was the match up between our 2010 Gladiator Grand Dictator Romy Estrella and our 2010 Gladiator Champion, Freddie Yu.
The Battle Mission's "Black Crusade" was exactly what the Gladiator Cup was all about.
At the end of the day, Freddie Yu won 9 kill points vs Romy Estrella with 7 kill points. The game ended on turn 5 on a die roll. It would have been more exciting if it rolled the other way but fate chose differently.
Congratulations to Freddie Yu as he was awarded the Games Workshop Army Case.
Furthermore, congratulations to Romy Estrella who has done exemplary job as the Grand Dictator of a very successful 2010 Gladiator Cup. Romy received the World Eaters upgrade from Forgeworld.
A special mention and thanks to Henri Tecson who has diligently take time to open and close the Bunker throughout the Gladiator Cup League Tournament and bear the responsibility of being "the keeper of the keys" (literally).
Henri received a Bugman's Bar T-shirt as a sign of our appreciation.
Again, we thank to all of you who have participated in the 2010 Gladiator Cup League Tournament.
We are looking forward to next year's 2011 Gladiator Cup League Tournament and hope to see you all at the gaming tables.
